Amber is the inaugural Executive Director of Democracy House. She has a career spanning over 20 years in philanthropy and partnership development as a strategic advisor and director leading campaigns and initiatives in the areas of democracy, digital rights, and social justice. Most recently, Amber served as Executive Director of Media Democracy Fund, a global catalyst advancing the public interest in the digital age. During her tenure at MDF, Amber designed, led, and scaled numerous projects focused on digital rights, internet freedom, and digital threats to democracy, including the NetGain Partnership, Disinfo Defense League, Digital Equity and Opportunity Initiative, and others. In 2015, Slate Magazine recognized her as one of the women who won Net Neutrality. Prior to MDF, Amber served as Director of Partnerships at the Proteus Fund.
