YOUNG LEADERS
SUMMER INSTITUTE
The Young Leaders Summer Institute (YLSI) is a free, nonpartisan, and virtual program for the next generation of civic leaders. Over the course of the summer, participants meet weekly for virtual 2-hour sessions that cover various topics related to democracy and leadership and feature guest speakers with expertise in a wide variety of fields.
The application deadline for YLSI 2024 is May 10 at 11:59pm.
YOUNG LEADERS
CIVIC ACTION PROGRAM
The Young Leaders Civic Action Program (YLCAP) builds a community of young changemakers who strengthen democracy in their communities through organizing practices while developing their leadership skills.
YLCAP is open to anyone who has completed a Democracy House program (YLSI, YEP, internship, etc) or received a nomination from one of our partners, and builds on the skills and experiences of these programs to deepen participants’ leadership and organizing skills in service of a stronger democracy.
