BAILEY HUMYN

As the Development and Operations Manager at Democracy House, Bailey is in charge of maintaining Democracy House’s systems, making sure that everything runs smoothly. He believes that democracy is much more than voting or what goes on in various legislatures, but the connections we make between each other and the communities we build. Since graduating college, Bailey has dedicated himself to work in the nonprofit sector, working to build a more inclusive and connected society.

Bailey grew up and lives in South Florida where he gained an appreciation for the arts, politics and history. He went to New College of Florida where he earned his BA in Political Science. During his undergrad, he researched the relationship between religion, politics and collective memory. He is a lifelong learner often reading about new topics or getting his hands dirty trying something new. Outside of work, Bailey likes to spend his time baking bread, traveling to new places (often to escape the Florida heat), and spending time with his wife and two cats.
