Justin Mendillo

Justin is the Assistant Director of Programs at Democracy House, where he helps build programs that expand civic participation and strengthen our democracy. At his core, Justin is always supporting initiatives that invite more voices into public life. Before joining Democracy House, Justin led campus initiatives focused on equity and belonging, collaborating with students, staff, and community partners to educate, organize, and take action on the issues that matter most to them. Prior to that, he worked in advocacy and communications, developing strategies to communicate with diverse audiences and help spark participation in public life. Justin believes in the power of community - how working together can turn collective imagination into transformative action. Outside of work you can find him walking his dog by the shore, curating playlists, and managing his ever-expanding collection of plants.
