STAND FOR CAMPUS FREEDOM

Democracy House is excited to announce Stand for Campus Freedom, a nonpartisan grassroots movement urging colleges and universities to stand strong against federal government interference that threatens to undermine the innovation, opportunity and broad civic engagement that has long defined American education, leadership and democracy.

We believe defending, strengthening, and improving democracy means upholding the freedoms to teach, study, and learn, and supporting spaces where ideas are tested, challenged, and expanded. Rising generations cannot lead if their campuses are censored or coerced. That’s why grassroots alumni groups are mobilizing and organizing across the country to demand courage from college and university leaders.

Together, we can protect the next generation’s right to learn, speak, and lead.
